Shawne Merriman, nicknamed "Lights Out", is an American former professional football player who was selected 12th overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2005 NFL Draft. He earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, 2x All-Pro and 3x Pro Bowl honors. In 2019 Shawne started his own MMA league, Lights Out Extreme Fighting.
