Anti-Spam Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

1. Purpose and scope

This policy applies to opensponsorship.com and all of its subdomains, and to every product and service operated by OpenSponsorship Corp. ("OpenSponsorship"). It covers email, text messages, and direct or in-app messages on any platform.

2. Our policy against advertising this website with unsolicited messages

OpenSponsorship prohibits advertising or promoting opensponsorship.com, or any OpenSponsorship service, using unsolicited messages. We do not authorize anyone to do so, including our employees, contractors, agencies, affiliates, referral partners, vendors, and the brands, athletes, influencers, and agents who use our platform.

Anyone who sends unsolicited messages that mention or link to opensponsorship.com does so without our permission and in violation of this policy.

3. What we mean by unsolicited messages

An unsolicited message is one sent to someone who has not agreed to receive it and has no existing relationship with the sender. Under this policy, the following are always prohibited:

  • Sending messages in bulk or through automated sequences to people who have not opted in.
  • Using purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, or appended lists of contact details.
  • Hiding or misrepresenting who a message is from, or using a misleading subject line.
  • Continuing to message someone after they have asked you to stop.

4. How OpenSponsorship sends email

Account and transactional email. We send notices about account activity, messages, campaigns, deals, and payments only to the people whose accounts they concern.

Marketing email. We send newsletters and marketing email only to people who have signed up for them or who have an OpenSponsorship account. Every marketing email identifies OpenSponsorship as the sender, includes our postal address, and contains a working unsubscribe link.

Sales and partnership outreach. Members of our team sometimes contact prospective brand and athlete partners. These are individual, personally written emails sent from a named team member's own mailbox to business contacts we have researched. They are never sent in bulk or to purchased lists. Each one identifies the sender and why they are writing, and includes our postal address and a way to opt out.

We do not buy, rent, or sell email lists.

5. Unsubscribing

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To stop sales or partnership emails, reply to the sender and ask to be removed, or email info@opensponsorship.com. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days across all of our systems, including our marketing tools, our CRM, and our team's mailboxes. Account holders can also change their email preferences in their account settings.

6. Rules for platform users and referral partners

Contact details you obtain through OpenSponsorship, including through messages, profiles, campaigns, and deals, may be used only for legitimate communication about opportunities on the platform. They may not be used to send unsolicited messages, added to mailing lists, or shared with third parties for marketing.

Participants in our Refer a Brand program may refer only people they know personally or professionally. They may not promote OpenSponsorship or their referral through unsolicited messages.

7. Reporting abuse

If you receive an unsolicited message that mentions or links to opensponsorship.com, please forward it to info@opensponsorship.com with the full message headers and the subject line "Spam report". The headers let us identify who sent it. Most email programs show them under an option such as "Show original" or "View source". We investigate every report.

8. Enforcement

Violating this policy may lead to suspension or termination of an OpenSponsorship account, termination of an affiliate, referral, agency, or vendor relationship and forfeiture of any unpaid referral rewards, disciplinary action for employees and contractors, and any other remedies available to us under our Terms of Service or applicable law, including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

9. Cooperation with blocklist operators and providers

We cooperate with email providers, internet service providers, and blocklist operators investigating messages that mention opensponsorship.com, and we act on the information they provide.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
