Darian is an Adaptive/Para athlete (with a Brachiel Plexus birth injury to her left arm), competing in Para Snowboarding, Skateboarding, and Surfing. Growing up surfing in Hawaii, she was a fixture on Team Hawaii and then Team USA, earning 8 individual & team World Championship medals. Darian has competed locally and internationally at over 30 surfing events. After moving to the mainland in 2021 she relocated to Silverthorn Colorado and began training for the 2026 Paralympics with Adaptive Action Sports. Through AAS she also expanded into the competitive world of Para Skateboarding. She has won many awards in snow/skate with her highest being the 22/23 FIS World Cup Overall Para Banked Slalom Crystal Globe in her Upper Limb division. She is currently a member of the USA Para Snowboard Team, and ranked 3rd in the world. Darian is dedicated to expanding and improving opportunities for fellow Adaptive athletes, especially women, and frequently sponsors other athletes and NPO's such as Adaptive Surfing South Africa and Made for More (NP sports organization in South Africa).
