 Kennedy Smith is a freshman guard for the USC Trojans women's basketball team, standing at 6'1". She graduated from Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, in 2024. During her senior year, she averaged 20.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game, leading the Eagles to the CIF statewide Open Division title game. Smith was honored as the Gatorade California State Player of the Year and was ranked as the nation's No. 6 recruit in the Class of 2024 by both espnW and Prospects Nation. USC TROJANS In her freshman season at USC, Smith has made a significant impact, averaging 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Her defensive prowess has been particularly noteworthy, with USC's head coach Lindsay Gottlieb praising her as the best defensive freshman she's ever recruited. Unfortunately, Smith is currently sidelined due to an undisclosed surgery, but she is expected to return to competition this season.
