I overcame a life-altering injury from a freak weight lifting accident resulting in two severe burst fractures in my thoracic spine, tearing muscles and ligaments in my lower back, spinal fluid leaking amidst my internal organs, and being told I would never lift weights or compete in sports again by multiple doctors as an 18 year old in junior college in 2015 to then becoming a two-time All-American at UCLA and now an Olympic Hopeful in track and field for Team USA in the hammer throw, and I have competed at and improved my ranking at every United States Track and Field National Championship since I graduated from UCLA in 2019.
