Jack Davey is an accomplished wheelchair basketball athlete and coach based in Exeter, known for his leadership with Exeter Otters and his strong presence in disability sport. I am a 30 year old player coach at the Exeter Otters wheelchair basketball club. I am one of the youngest player coaches that also runs the club inside and out ensuring we have a welcoming environment for all. Current coaching and player D1 and are one of the top scorers, rebounders and assists leaders in the country. As coach i make sure everyone plays to their full potential I also run ooen sessions for all every saturday to make sure wheelchair basketball is open to everyone of all abilities and disabilities to involve all for social, physical and mental benefits. We are involved in a once a month tournamnet for these guys to further develop. This year is the first year I will be running a junior program alongside which is super exciting and further create an accessible environment for everyone. We have now 65 members across the board the youngest being 7 and the oldest being 57. I am also a GB pathway coach and aim to be involved woth 3x3 at the commonwealth games next year. Alongside a busy basketball schedules i also work full time at RGK wheelchairs as a mobility advisor for south west and south wales. This involves traveling to clients and designing a wheelchair to suit their needs and helping them gain indepence and help better their lives.
