Why you should sponsor me for your next influencer campaign?
Born to Nigerian-Haitian parents, Femita Ayanbeku is an American Track & Field athlete, a model, entrepreneur, and a motivational speaker. At the age of 11, Femita was in a car accident that resulted in the amputation of her right leg below the knee. At 23, Femita received her first running blade and it changed her life. After only a few months of training with her new blade, Femita became the 100m National Champion and has held that title ever since. Femita is currently the fastest female amputee in the United States. Femita has participated in all major world competitions representing Team USA, including Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, World Championships (2017 & 2019), and ParaPan American Games (Lima 2019). In 2021, Femita became the first American amputee woman to be featured in Victoria's Secret campaign, #Undefinable Spotlight. Over the years, Femita has invested her time in giving back to the community, especially students. Having faced many challenges as an amputee, she has proven that you can achieve any goal you set your mind to as long as you work hard and stay committed. In her speeches, she instills hope and bravery in students and shows them that no matter how hard our circumstances may be, we need to fight hard to pursue our dreams. In addition to starting her own non-profit, Limb-it-less Creations Inc., she holds a board position on two others, The Born to Run Foundation and Adaptive Sports New England. Her non-profit work is specifically aimed at providing sports and equipment opportunities to kids and adults with disabilities and offering mentorship to those who need it. Femita continues to make strides in her community and all over the world. Finally, Femita is currently working on an app that will revolutionize the dining experience for diners, servers, and restaurant owners.
