Why you should sponsor me for your next influencer campaign?
Jessica is a Swisher, Iowa native who has found passion in life through a unique athletic journey. She was born with amniotic banding syndrome, which resulted in her right leg being amputated at one year old. As she grew older, she found a love for the sport of track and field and learned to battle the difficulties that come with being a disabled athlete. During the latter years of high school, she made the decision to pursue competition on a global level and made Team USA for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games. In those Games, she competed in the 400m and discus, where she made finals and placed 7th and 8th, respectively. Since her first Games experience, Jessica has climbed the competitive ranks in her track events, including setting her first discus world record during the 2019 track season. She has been a national record holder since 2018, a title she aims to maintain this year going into Paris 2024. Jessica graduated in 2021 from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in biology and completed a four-year collegiate career on the university track team. She competed in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, where she placed 5th in the discus and set a new American record. Jessica became a professional athlete following the Tokyo Games and continues to train, as well as advocate for adaptive sports and the Paralympic movement. Jessica is an experienced motivational speaker who enjoys sharing her story of how she has adapted to and overcome the challenges that arise with a disability and how a good coach can change an athlete’s life. Jessie is happily married and a mom of two rescue kittens, Mango and Rocky.
