Bailey Moody is a compelling para-athlete and University of Alabama wheelchair basketball standout with a powerful story, a strong on-camera presence, and proven championship pedigree. As a 2x Paralympian, cancer survivor, and content creator with an authentic college-athlete voice, she offers brands an inspiring way to connect with audiences around performance, resilience, and community.
Bailey Moody is a Paralympic Bronze Medalist and 3X time Collegiate National Champion in wheelchair basketball. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Bailey, at the age of 10, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Bailey was forced to make a difficult decision between an active lifestyle or the luxury of “looking normal.” She chose to pursue athletics and opted for a rare form of amputation called rotation-plasty. Soon after the loss of her leg, Bailey returned to athletics and started playing several sports. At 14, Bailey was introduced to wheelchair basketball and instantly fell in love with the sport. She made her debut for Team USA at 16 years old as a member of the 2018 World Championships roster. Since then, Bailey has won several medals, including a gold at the U25 World Championships and a bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. She also won silver at both the 2019 ParaPan American Games and the 2022 America’s Cup. Bailey currently attends the University of Alabama as a junior, majoring in psychology, and has been a member of the women’s wheelchair basketball team there since 2020. Bailey has won three collegiate national championships and hopes for another as she continues her collegiate career. She plans to further her education at Alabama by pursuing a Master’s in clinical counseling, which will allow her to continue playing collegiate athletics. In the summer of 2021, Bailey made history by becoming the first adaptive collegiate athlete to receive an NIL deal from Degree. Bailey Moody is passionate about mentoring and encouraging young athletes and raising awareness and funding for childhood cancer research.
