 I am an athlete from Ukraine, and sport has not only shaped who I am but has been my refuge, my passion, and the foundation of my strength since childhood. But just as my athletic journey was reaching its peak, war shattered my world. The conflict in Ukraine forced me to leave everything behind, seeking safety far from home. The war has taken so much, and funding for athletes in Ukraine has dwindled drastically. For the past three years, I've had to rely solely on my own resources to continue my journey, and it's become a constant struggle. With many international competitions held outside of Europe, the financial burden grows heavier with each passing day. My ultimate dream is to qualify for the LA 2028 Olympic Games. Every single day, I pour my heart and soul into training, pushing myself to grow, improve, and achieve victories for my country— all while striving to make a lasting impact in the world of fencing. What drives me is not just the hope to see this sport gain the recognition it deserves, but the deep desire to be part of that change.
