Liam is a professional golfer from the U.K currently playing on the European challenge tour. His route in the game of golf has been a little different to the normal stories you get accustomed to hearing. Liam only began to play golf full time at the age of 19. Initially, Liam was going to follow in his father’s footsteps into the world of professional football. Les (Liam’s father) made 743 football league appearances over a twenty-year career. Liam played for Coventry City Football Club from the age of 9-19. He was also involved in The England youth development squads from the age of 14-16 with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Theo Walcott and Kyle Walker. Unfortunately for Liam at the age of 18, he fractured his femur in training, and after 11 months of rehab, he decided he was no longer able to continue with his football career. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, he knew he wanted to continue in the world of sport. He used the knowledge he had gained from playing football at an elite level and adapted it into an alternative sport.
