In 2018, I was injured in a cycling accident and paralyzed from the waist down. I use a wheelchair in my daily life but I refuse to let that slow me down. I completed in my first Paratriathlon (a race in which I swim 750ms, handcycle 20kms and push a racing wheelchair 5kms) just 8 months after my injury. Now I have my sights set on brining home a gold medal from the Paris Paralympics in September of 2024. My story is one of strength, perseverance, athleticism and self-acceptance.
