Genevieve is a committed athlete at 16 years old, planning to pursue a career in the medical field in addition to becoming a Paralympian. Her representation of products and sponsorships is healthy and motivating. An international Para Dressage Equestrian and the youngest in the U.S. since 2019, Genevieve is an aspiring Paralympian. She was named to her first Team USA competition team in 2022, the USEF Para Dressage Developing Athletes list in 2023, Emerging Athletes List in 2020 at 12 years old, and became the youngest classified Para Dressage athlete in the world when she represented the U.S. for the first time in 2022 at age 14, her first year of international eligibility. Genevieve gives back to the equestrian community as a volunteer, is the 2023 USEF National Youth Sportsman's Award reserve winner, and represents Para on the USEF National Youth Advisory Board. Bio: Genevieve is a triplet, born extremely premature at 28 weeks, resulting in Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Highly functioning, she does not allow her diagnoses to impede her dedication. Her education is paramount to her, and she plans to pursue a career in the Medical field concurrently with her athletic career. Initially riding for therapy at age four, Genevieve began riding at the California-based Ride-On, a U.S. Equestrian Federation, Paraequestrian Center of Excellence. Currently training in Utah, and with Paralympic & World medalist, Kate Shoemaker in Florida & Germany, Genevieve has developed into an accomplished rider with her sights set on representing the U.S. at a future Paralympics. A Grade IV rider, Genevieve was officially classified at age 9 and remains the youngest classified Para Equestrian in the U.S. She became the youngest in the world at her first international in 2022, at age 14. Genevieve is focused and passionate about competing. 2018 was her first qualifying show season, where she was the only Para rider and two to five years younger than her competitors. She trained on one horse in Utah and competed on another in California, qualifying for the California Junior Championships, CA Dressage Society Regionals and U.S. Dressage Federation Regionals. She earned a Top Ten placement. She began successfully showing at FEI (international) grade level tests in 2019, followed by first place in her grade at the 2020 Para Dressage Championships (her first national event) and earned overall Reserve (2nd).
