I am a mother of 3 who is training for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. As the 2023 S9 100 Backstroke World Champion, I secured a selection slot for Team USA in Paris. Sports Illustrated did an article earlier this year when I broke the World Record in the 50 Backstroke. In addition to the World Record , I also hold 11 American Records and am currently ranked number one in world in multiple events. I may have been training for the Tokyo Olympic Trials when my injury occured, but I am thankful for the Paralympic Movement as I can still pursue my dreams of representing Team USA even after acquiring my disabilities. I look forward to using my platform to help others experiencing life altering injuries use sport to regain a price of what we have lost.
