Β Ever since I was 6 years old I have been a runner. I started very young doing orienteering events with my father and aged 14 I was called to represent England in orienteering. I also represented my county in cross country whilst at school and have always enjoyed running long distance trail runs all over the UK. I continued to run after leaving school but purely on a recreational basis and as a means to relax and enjoy being outdoors. I trained for my first marathon in Edinburgh when I was 23 and that was when I caught the running bug properly and havenβt looked back since! I have since run Brighton marathon once, Dubai marathon twice and the Low Alpine Mountain Marathon with my father where we placed 1st mixed team. I am currently training for the London marathon in 2 weeks time. However my real passion lies in ultra-marathons, a discipline I only took up last year when I ran my first ultra marathon which was the Salomon Wadi Bih solo 72Km in Oman. Salomon Wadi Bih solo 72Km 2016: http://wadibih.com/downloads/Results/2016-Final-Wadi-Bih-results-solo.pdf 6th female and 23rd overall in a time of 8.06.56 Prior to this event the furthest I had ever run was a 42Km road marathon! I enjoyed this event so much and decided that I would start training for ultra-marathons. 2 months later I competed in a 45Km trail run: Urban Ultra Big Stinker 45Km 2016: https://www.hopasports.com/event/sharbatly-fruit-big-stinker/results?race=4Urban Ultra Big Stinker 45Km 2017 And came 1st female and 4th overall In summer 2016 I entered my first 100Km race: Race to the Stones but was badly injured suffering from acute Patellar Tendonitis so I was disappointed with my result in this race but running that distance taught me a lot about race preparation and training. I returned after 8 weeks of recovery and Physiotherapy feeling much stronger but needing to build my fitness back up. Since then I have competed in: Salomon Wadi Bih solo 72Km 2017: https://wadibih.com/results/2017-results/ 1st female and 3rd overall in a time of 6.59.58 and Urban Ultra Big Stinker 45Km 2017: http://www.urbanultra.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/UU-SFBS-17-FULL-RESULTS2.pdf 1st female and 2nd overall in a time of 4.47.32 I am also training for the ironman 70.3 in Dubai at the end of the year and competed in my first triathlon 3 weeks ago coming 1st in my age group. I believe that with the opportunity for sponsorship I could be an ambassador for the company and promote your equipment and events. I am an active member of the sporting community in the UAE and my exposure at events and training sessions is big. I spend many hours training within the community at the Yas marina circuit and promoting this through social media such as strava, instagram and facebook.
