This feat of endurance was completed at just 22 years of age, besting the previous record by over 30 hours of a much more experienced endurance athlete. Working towards qualification for the Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships, Declan is currently focusing on events of 4-6 hours in length along with stage races and Cyclocross events all over Australia and around the world. With over 30 days of racing each year plus nearly 20 hours of training each week it is a large amount of exposure to the market. At most races he partakes in junior development clinics, school talks or skills session to help the local community grow and develop their abilities. Declan is also demonstrating elite level cycling with a consistent life balance, currently holding a full time management position as well as coaching athletes and writing for a range of magazines and websites about cycling, life balance and tech articles on new products. he has appeared in a range of magazines, newspapers, tv and radio interviews totalling over 30 articles about his achievements throughout the past 12 months with a wide audience ranging from local sporting groups to mainstream tv.
