Taj Gibson is a 12-year NBA veteran playing for the New York Knicks. He played college basketball for the USC Trojans and was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 2009 draft . Taj spent the majority of his career in Chicago, but returned home to New York in 2019, where he was reunited with his former Bulls coach, Tom Thibodeau. Taj is originally from New York (Brooklyn area specifically) and has given so much back to his hometown community. Taj has hosted several events through the Taj Gibson Foundation, where he's been awarded the key to the city as well as "Taj Gibson Day" in August.
