Reginald Ryedell Bullock (born March 16, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels before being selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft with the 25th overall pick. Bullock has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Knicks. The Baltimore native attended high school in North Carolina and is known for his ability to score, defend and shoot the three ball at an elite level. In addition to his successful nine-year NBA career, Reggie has made it a priority and passion to give back to his community and advocate for social justice, gun violence, and prison reform through multiple avenues. Before the age of 30, Reggie tragically lost both of his sisters to violent crimes. In 2014 Reggie’s transgender sister Mia was senselessly murdered and in 2019 his other sister, Keiosha was fatally shot in Baltimore. He consistently fights for the LGBTQ community in Mia’s honor. In 2018, Reggie became the first active NBA player to ride on the on the NBA float in the NYC gay pride parade.Reggie continues to fight for justice for his two sisters. A dedicated family man, Reggie is often sharing his journey as a father on social media. Recently Reggie has become increasingly involved with prison reform and efforts to both shed light on as well as change the poor conditions and lack of equality based on race and socioeconomic status still permeating within our penal system. A dedicated family man, Reggie has three children, one older son and two young twins. He is often sharing his journey as a father on social media.
