Owen was born with a rare eye condition, Stargardts' Disease, which has affected his vision substantially leaving him legally blind. However, that does not stop him from reaching his goals and aspirations. Owen is a driven, optimistic, and resilient athlete who strives to inspire others to reach their goals no matter the setbacks. Owen is currently a resident at the United States Olympic Training Center training for triathlon in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. He is one of the youngest triathletes to compete at the world level and has a bright future in the sport of paratriathlon. He is currently the 5th overall paratriathlete in the world at age 18.
