King Kendrick, a 6’0” point guard from Columbus, Ohio, has rapidly ascended in the basketball world due to his exceptional ambidextrous shooting and leadership abilities. At Northland High School, he led the Vikings to back-to-back Columbus City League championships, earning First Team All-City honors twice. His standout performances garnered scholarship offers from prestigious programs such as Ohio, Kent State, Texas A&M, and Arizona State. In pursuit of advanced academic, athletic, and service opportunities, King transferred to Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina. While King and Northland High School had earned their playoff bid last season in Ohio, Caldwell Academy secured the Piedmont Triad Athletic Conference (PTAC) Championship, and continued their success into the 2023-2024 NCISAA 2A State Playoffs, advancing deep into the tournament. This success, combined with Caldwell Academy’s commitment to fostering leadership and community engagement, caught the attention of King and his family, who saw Caldwell Academy as the ideal environment to support his growth both on and off the court. Now a sophomore in the 2024-2025 season, King is contributing to this thriving program, reinforcing his potential as a rising basketball star, academic achiever, and community leader. Off the court, King aspires to attend college to study business with an interest in real estate, aiming to use his education and basketball career to create meaningful opportunities for his family and meaningful changes in his communities.
