 Evy grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and has been a member of the U.S. National Canoe Slalom Team since 2019. She competes in three whitewater events: Women’s Canoe (which made its Olympic debut in Tokyo), Women’s Kayak, and Women’s Kayak Cross, joining the Olympic lineup in Paris 2024. When Evy was just 15 years old, she became the youngest athlete ever to medal at a Canoe Slalom World Cup, and she is the first woman from the U.S. to qualify an Olympic quota in Women’s Canoe. A regular on the international circuit, Evy is a Pan American Games champion, Junior World Champion, World Champion medalist, World Cup medalist, and U.S. National champion. Evy also competes in extreme kayaking and took home the silver medal at the Green River Narrows Race, the largest extreme kayak race in the world. When she’s not on the river, Evy likes to mountain bike, surf, skateboard, snowboard, draw, and grab coffee with friends.
