Emily Harrigan is a soccer creator and athlete with strong college-sport credibility through Pitt and Rutgers. Her content blends training, travel, team-life, and relatable everyday moments, making her a natural fit for brands looking to reach an engaged, sports-savvy audience with authentic female athlete influence.
I measure my life by the impact that I make on others. My 16-year-old cousin has a rare form of Down Syndrome which impairs her speech. Because of her, I have spent the past several years of my life working with children with special needs, which has become a passion of mine. These meaningful interactions have assisted me in not only choosing a career path but also finding my purpose in life - helping others. I am a student athlete at the University of Pittsburgh out of the Pittsburgh area, maintaining a high GPA while also being an active member of the women’s soccer team. I am currently enrolled as a senior in the School of General Studies as a Natural Sciences major. I am in the process of completing all of the major requirements as well as the science courses necessary to apply to a Physician Assistant program post-graduation. I am interested in becoming a Physician Assistant and am seeking exciting opportunities to help me gain experience in the Healthcare field. Attending an out-of-state university for three years has exposed me to diverse groups of people while assisting me in finding my independence. This experience has allowed me to quickly adapt to changes and gain a broader perspective. I am always curious about things and enjoy learning. I like to solve problems and fix any errors. I am a very regimented and detail-oriented person which assists me in keeping my goals and tasks organized to maintain productivity. I believe the skills that I have attained from the dynamic environment and competitive student-athlete lifestyle has defined me, and I am looking forward to implementing and polishing these skills in any opportunity that I am presented with.
