Hope Solo is regarded as one of the top female goalkeepers in the world. Hope helped lead the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team to a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and again at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. After a runner-up finish in 2011, Solo delivered one of the greatest goalkeeping performances in recent memory as she helped lead the U.S. Women’s team to victory at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Hope Solo’s soccer prowess started at an early age growing up in Washington state. She was highly recruited out of high school as one of the top female goalkeepers and eventually played collegiately at the University of Washington. Regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in Pac-10 history, the two-time Olympic Gold Medalist has solidified herself atop of the women’s soccer world. Now retired from the game, Solo looks to continue her career within the sport as an emerging soccer analyst with BeIN Sports.
