 HOUSTON TEXANS RUNNING BACK Since a young age, football has been part of the Texas native’s life. Growing up, he and his twin brother Armanti were always pushing each other to be the best they could be. Post high school, Armanti and D’Onta went on to play at The University of Texas at Austin (UT), where D’Onta broke out as a star running back. During his 2016 season at UT, D’Onta was awarded the Doak Walker Award which is given to the nation's top running back, and was also the recipient of the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award which is given to the nations top offensive player. D’Onta decided to forego his final year at UT and entered the 2017 NFL draft. D’Onta was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round and was the 89th overall pick. The 2017-2018 season started out better than expected for the Texans rookie. However, during week 11, D’Onta tore his Achilles which resulted in his rookie season coming to an end. While it is unfortunate that his rookie season was cut short, it allowed him to spend more time with his beautiful baby girl Nike. Nike was born in August of 2017, and is D’Onta’s whole world, and the reason why he has decided to start The D’Onta Foreman Foundation. D’Onta is looking forward to playing in the 2018-2019 season.
