  • CSUDH AWARDS AND HONORS: Elite Eight All-Tournament Team West Region All-Tournament Team All-CCAA Honorable Mention 2024-25 (RS Junior): Cheatom played a critical role in the Toros road to the National Championship game, having averaged 17 points per game in six NCAA Tournament games. He played in all 36 games, starting 21 and was the team’s 3rd leading scorer (11.3 ppg). Cheatom scored a career high 36 points on January 11th at Sonoma State, a performance that earned him the CCAA Player of the week. 2023-24 (Junior): Medical Redshirt 2022-23 (Sophomore): In his second season as a Toro, David Cheatom played a total of 23 games, starting in 11. On November 15th against Concordia University, Cheatom scored a career high 22 points. Cheatom tallied a total of 210 points (9.1 ppg), 73 rebounds (3.1 rpg), and 29 assists (1.2 apg) on the season. 2021-22 (Freshman): As a freshman, Cheatom made an appearance in 19 games. He scored his season high 18 points on February 19th against San Francisco State. On the season, Cheatom scored 100 points, grabbed 44 rebounds and had eight blocks. University High School: Two-time CIF-LA City Section All-City Team Three-time CIF-LA City Section All-Division 1 Team All-time leading scorer at University HS
