During his amateur boxing career, he competed in Las Vegas at Floyd Mayweather’s Boxing Gym and Kansas City for the Ring Side World Championship. He held an amateur record of 68-2, Ringside National champion 2010, and a 2x Golden Glove Champion (2014-2015). Since the beginning of Daron's professional boxing career, he has worked with some of boxings biggest names in the sport for mentorship and training such as, Floyd Mayweather Sr, Jeff Mayweather, and Sugar Ray Leonard. In addition to legendary trainers he has also worked alongside DMV professional boxing superstars Lamont Roach Jr., Gervonta Davis, David Benavidez, Jaron Ennis, and Jarret “Swift” Hurd”.
