He is a volunteer (if you’ll consider a loose definition of “athlete”) with Rock Steady Boxing [“RSB”] affiliate (our team) in Hot Springs, AR, USA. Bear is super inspired by the progress the “fighters” (people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease [“PD”] make as they engage in vigorous, sweat-drenched exercise therapy (lead by RSB coaches) designed to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of PD. So inspired by RSB that lead him to seek corporate sponsorship to write a book: “Rock Steady Boxing: Fighting Parkinson’s Disease with Sweat, Blood, and Tears.” (This is the working title.) This book will consist primarily of interviews to find the best coaches, volunteers, and of course, fighters. he wants to find out what makes these people the best? What are they doing right? How do they think? What is their attitude about RSB and life in general? How can someone reading my future book and be a better fighter, coach, or volunteer?
