Cody Kessel is a professional outside hitter for Team USA and the Berlin Recycling Volleys. He is based in Berlin, Germany. He has played 9 seasons professionally in Switzerland and Germany. Cody studied at Princeton University between 2011 and 2015. He has a self-published ebook recapping his journey and the most valuable lessons he has learned from his career in "11 Ways to Get an Edge." It covers mental toughness, energy, volleyball technique, and more. He competes professionally for the Berlin Recycling Volleys, who average the highest attendance of any men's team in Europe--with over 5,000 fans on average at home matches. The Volleys also compete in the European Champions League made of the best teams in Europe. In the summers he is often called to play with the USA Men's National Team for training or for various tournaments as they lead up to the Paris 2024 Olympics.A self-proclaimed "late bloomer," He made his first start for the A National Team at age 30 in front of 10,000 Brazilian fans in Brasilia for the Volleyball Nations League.
