He grew up in Elk Grove Village, Illinois where he attended McHenry West High School where he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles before deciding instead to enroll at the University of Louisville. Bobby made an instant impact at Louisville. He earned Freshman All-American honors & American Athletic Conference Third Team honors. As a sophomore, Bobby carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning of the NCAA Super Regional matchup against East Carolina, securing his team a victory and a spot in the College World Series. Bobby’s senior year was cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, but he dominated the shortened season with a 2.31 ERA & 34 strikeouts, leading the Louisville Cardinals to a #2 overall ranking. In June of 2020, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected Bobby with the 29th overall pick in the 2020 Draft. Bobby’s fastball is his most dominant pitch. He has a highly coveted velocity and consistently throws 100 mph. He is currently the #1 pitching prospect for the Dodgers and will make his debut in the Majors in 2022.
