But stars aligned at the start of 2016, as a full-time seat in the Verizon IndyCar Series became available back in the U.S. Rossi was quickly recruited by the newly merged Andretti-Herta Autosport, and in his first season, won the Indianapolis 500 and was Rookie of the Year. In 2017, Rossi earned a win, two podiums, and five top-5’s for Andretti- Herta. In 2018, he cemented his name in IndyCar history once again, narrowly missing out on the IndyCar Championship, with 3 wins and 8 podiums and finishing as the Championship Runner up. For 2019, he again challengedfortheverytop,finishing3rd.2020washis5thyearracing with Andretti. He is highly marked by the motorsport industry to become America’s next great racing hero.
