This sport can challenge you in more ways than you ever expect, but the beauty of it is you gain the relentlessness to push though, even in the darkest times. On September 24th, 2020 I lost my dad to brain cancer, it was 2 days before my show.. I decided to put my heels on and step up there for him, to give him a win after all of our biggest loss. For me competing is now so much more than a sport. Its an opportunity to show others that resilience isn't about bouncing back, pain hits a moving target because we are always changing, its only a matter of where you want your tragectory to be.
