Tytus Howard was born on May 23rd, 1996, in Monroeville, Alabama. He currently plays offensive tackle in the NFL. Prior to his college career, Howard began his playing career at Monroe County High School. The prep star played both football and basketball at Monroe County. Howard would play quarterback at the school and would also letter in basketball. Howard would commit to Alabama State University to play tight end. After redshirting his freshman season, Howard would play in six games and moved over to the offensive line. By his senior year, Howard was a full-time offensive lineman. Howard would lead the team in pancakes and just allowed one sack. He redshirted as a tight end for the Hornets in 2014 but managed to work his way onto the field at right tackle the following season (six starts in eight games played). Howard started seven games on the rights side of his sophomore year before replacing NFL draft pick Jylan Ware at left tackle, starting all 11 games in 2017. SWAC coaches named him the Hornets' only first-team all-conference selection in 2018 after he started ten games at right tackle. The Houston Texans drafted Howard in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
