Portuguese, but descent from Guine-Bissau. Currently playing in the first league in Hungary - Extra League - and I am a player of the Portuguese National Volleyball Team . Before i was doing Long jump, track and High Jump. Due to the lack of opportunity and support at the time I gave up on doing. However, by accident I was introduced in high-school to volleyball. I started playing it seriously only in 2010 and in 2011 i made it to the national team. Thats when everything changed! In 2013 I went to Hofstra University in the United States where I had the opportunity to live in the city of my dreams (New York ). There, I was granted a scholarship and was able to finish my university studies in PR & MKT and minor in Philosophy, while playing in the Division I league, for 2 years . After graduating, I received an offer to go back to Europe and play volleyball professionally. It has been now 5 years since i started that journey! I've played in the first league in Germany, Switzerland and Spain and now Hungary. Growing up and trying to make it in this sport is hard.. Many have told me that i would never be able to play abroad, nevertheless in first league. But i never believed those things, but my dreams! I always surrounded myself with people that believed in me and most importantly i also believed in myself!
