About Mel Phillips — Team USA triathlon athlete

Why you should sponsor me for your next influencer campaign?

My name is Mel Phillips and I am a local Triathlete and Coach. I live and train here in St. Augustine, Florida and was inspired to get into Triathlon by the wonderful local community of athletes. My background in athletics started at a young age, being involved in sports from middle school through the collegiate level, where I was part of the Track Team. My coaches impacted my life in a profound way, teaching me the dedication, respect, humility, and determination it takes to become an athlete. As I developed as a runner, I became very inspired by the athletes who were finishing amazing endurance events like the Ironman Triathlon. Specifically watching women like Chrissy Wellington and Mirinda Carfrae. They consistently proved what strong athletes women are. The overwhelming courage and determination of these women, drove me to strive for that same kind of athletic excellence in my life. By overcoming challenges put before them, I firmly believe that athletes at any level in a sport can have the power to inspire and bring people together in a way few others can. The past year has brought me a year of great successes, where I not only finished as an All-American, but also qualified for the ITU World Championships being held in Penticton Canada this year. I am looking forward to building on my achievements and working towards this year’s racing goals. For me, becoming a truly great athlete means not only training hard and racing, but also sharing my journey and passion of sport with others. It is my responsibility to always be a positive mentor for those looking to find their passion in sport, work, and life.
