My name is Kris Whitfield, and I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, just minutes from my home track at Bandimere Speedway. I had the privilege of learning the sport under the guidance of my father who now has 40 years of experience in drag racing. I began racing at age 8, and I have seen success at all stages of my career which includes significant wins in the youth ranks of junior dragsters all the way up to victories on the national event level in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). In my 20 years of racing I have the distinction of becoming the one of the most prolific and accomplished drivers in Bandimere Speedway history, accruing 14 track championships, 2 top performer awards, and 2 national event victories. I race at NHRA and IHRA sanctioned racetracks across the country. I have been very fortunate to enjoy success during my time racing and have every intention to pursue a future in drag racing to the greatest extent possible. For me racing is a way of life that has taught me everything I know about relationships, professionalism, and the importance of dedication and hard work.
