Β A quick background about me: About 2 years ago my wife invited me to run a half marathon with her (at the time my max distance was 3km) and I agreed to do that because I thought half marathons were 10km. When I realized that it was actually double of the distance she had already signed us in so there was no way back. The training process for that race made me realize that there is nothing we canβt do if we put effort into it. That was just the beginning of what I now call my βendurance careerβ. I now have 3 half marathons, a few trail races and a couple of sprint triathlon plus a few smaller events. Iβm a civil engineer and a triathlon enthusiast. The concept of hard work and consistency that Iβve learned with endurance training has not only made me accomplish things that I thought were impossible for me on the athletic aspect, but has also changed the way I see challenges in my personal life. This year Iβm not only doing my first half distance Ironman, but Iβm also taking my professional engineering license, which is an exam that takes about 8hrs! Iβm literally applying the same concept of consistency in both areas. The results are unbelievable and this is what made me create this account. I want to share this mindset with other people and potentially inspire them to accomplish their own goals. I finally decided to start sharing this type of mentality with more people, so I created this Instagram account (@Felipes_training) to share my training routine for what so far will be my biggest accomplishment, which is to complete an Ironman 170.6 next year. As part of my plan to do this I have a personal coach, nutritionist, and a calendar full of events that will prepare me for that. My goal now is to start adding to the team brands that have similar goals of inspiring people to embrace the hard work and enjoy the results that come with it.
