 Daniel Claytor was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was a member of the Barton College (Wilson, NC) golf team from 2009 to 2013, earning NCAA DII PING All-American honors three separate times, Conference Carolinas First Team All-Conference three times and being named the 2011 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year as a sophomore. As a Bulldog, Claytor won six collegiate events, competed in the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament twice (2010, 2012), set Barton's single season scoring record of 72.31 in 2011-12 and was named Barton's Male Athlete of the Year twice (2011, 2012). He left Barton with the lowest career scoring average in the history of the program. Turning professional in 2014, Daniel competed on the eGolf Professional Tour and now competes on the SwingThought Tour (previously known as the Hooters Tour), the GPro Tour, as well as Web.com/PGA Tour Monday Qualifiers. He has won six times on the SwingThought Tour and has a handful of career Top 10's. Daniel has a career low round of 60 and holds a competitive course record, shot at Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, NC.
