Damien stands at only 183cm, which for Beach Volleyball is quite small. His whole life he has to fight against the tall sterotype often being overlooked for teams in his junior years. The Australian community has really come on board with his underdog story, his rise to the senior Australian team and especially recently, when he and his partner won Gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games! Damien will continue to give it everything he has as he looks towards the Tokyo Olympics in 2020!
