Hi my name is Casey DeSmith, I am a professional hockey goalie for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. I have a very unique story of how I made it to the NHL. I started as the third string in the ECHL for the Wheeling Nailers, two leagues below the NHL. I had a two year journey from the ECHL to the AHL and finally to the NHL as the backup goalie in the 2018 playoffs. I have a clean but funny and entertaining social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. I do not have twitter. I am very well liked by the Pittsburgh media and my teammates on the Penguins.
