BvB Dallas is a young-professional organization that hosts a powder-puff football game for a day of fun, fellowship, philanthropy and enjoyment as a way of raising money for Alzheimer’s research and awareness. Founded by sisters whose father was afflicted by Alzheimer’s, BvB is a personal way for young professionals to raise awareness, funds and support to TACKLE ALZHEIMER’S FOREVER. Each team (Team Blonde and Team Brunette/Bru Crew) is made up of approximately 70 players and 20 coaches. In addition, there is an all-volunteer leadership team and Board of Directors that helps BvB Dallas plan events throughout the season, coordinate Game Day activities and fundraise throughout the 10-week season. In 2016, BvB Dallas raised over $563,000, bringing the cumulative total over their 9 year history to $2.8 million dollars. 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of BvB Dallas and the organization has a $600,000 fundraising goal for this season. The money we raise is awarded through a formal granting process to DFW area organizations that focus on Alzheimer's Disease awareness, care and research.
