 After funding and establishing Santana Stables in 1996, Paulo relocated from Sao Paulo Brazil to Puebla Mexico in 2003 at the invitation of a family to train their son, who had Olympic aspirations. In 2005, Paulo left the private sector of show jumping and quietly opened a broader business to include new, young and up & coming talents. In 2007, Santana Stables opened their doors to receive students from around the world. Although still competing internationally, in 2009, Paulo and his family chose Wellington as the new American base for Santana Stables. The diversity in the barn creates a team environment that includes the least experienced to the most decorated riders. In addition to the teaching, Paulo has developed a renowned sales business, which includes a curated collection of top junior/amateur, young and Grand Prix horses. Based in Wellington, Florida USA, Paulo and his team offer training for riders from around the world. Each client has the option to customize the program towards a specific goal, whether it is short-term or extended over a long period.
