Aquil Abdullah is the first African-American male to represent the United States at the Olympics in the sport of rowing. He was also the first African-American to win the Diamond Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta, the single scull at the US National Rowing Championships, and the first to Medal at the Pan American Games. He is a dynamic speaker and believes that we are all agents of change. As a Hydrow Athlete, Aquil now shares his love for the sport with Hydrow members as he rows on waterways throughout the world. As the board chair of the A Most Beautiful Thing Inclusion Fund Aquil works with Arshay Cooper to share rowing opportunities with kids from underrepresented groups.
