Akayleb Evans was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Akayleb played cornerback at the University of Tulsa from 2017 to 2020. After suffering a shoulder injury he then transferred to the University of Missouri for the 2021 season. In his lone season with the Tigers, Evans was a starter at cornerback and finished the season with two tackles, two forced fumbles, six passes broken up, and one interception. After the conclusion of his college career he was invited to play in the 2022 Senior Bowl.
