About Victoria Walls — Scottish Target Shooting shooting athlete

Why you should sponsor me for your next influencer campaign?

 · I am a member of the Scottish High-Performance Target Rifle Squad, and have also competed for the GB Junior Rifle Squad. · I am the Scottish Champion at 10 metre Precision Air Rifle Target Shooting. · I am the Scottish Junior Champion at 50 metre 3 Position Rifle Shooting. · I am a Scottish & British Target Shooting record holder. · I won the gold as part of the team event for Scotland in the British airgun championships where I was selected to compete alongside Double Olympian and European Champion Jen McIntosh and her sister Seonaid who is also a European Champion. · I am a member of The Aberdeen University Rifle Club, and the only athlete from the club to represent the University at BUCS. Winning the Gold medal as part of the Scottish Team in the Home Countries International Match. In which I performed as the 3rd top Scottish Shooter in 50 metre .22 prone target rifle. · I came fifth in the Ladies’ Event and 11th out of two hundred in the mixed event, in which I faced competitors such as Seonaid McIntosh and Rachel Glover who are Commonwealth Games veterans, and; · Furthermore, I have been representing Scotland at International Competitions such as ISAS Dortmund in Germany and Osle Ostre MSL in Norway. · I was the highest medalling athlete at the Junior International Match 2016 where I achieved medals in 3 of my four events and was the selected to shoot for GB in a follow up International match and a team match against Denmark. In the Junior International 2017 I continued my lead as top medaling Scottish Athlete, this time with four medals, followed by selection for gb drew match, gb schools team and then won the 3p team event in the Inter regional. I also won B Class 3P in the British 3×20 match. I have an incredibly strong work ethic, as well as a good social media presence. This means that not only can I promote your brand, but I can also promote it by being seen to be achieving with it. Breaking boundaries and encouraging women in sport is a huge part of my personality, whether it be from obtaining my own club instructor qualification so that I can teach those without the same chances as me, or being active about it online. One of my biggest focuses is grass roots shooting. As an athlete, it is sad when you win medals more for turning up than for a good performance, but with such a lack of female shooters in Scotland, this is how many competitions turn out for me. It is beneficial not only to myself but to the sport as a whole if I can use my own knowledge and success to bring women into the sport, after all, our top shooters in Scotland are ladies, there is no reason why there shouldn’t be more. I solidly believe that sports should be something for everyone. You don’t have to be the typically sporty type like those you see in schools, there are hundreds of sports out there, from high energy field hockey, to calm and controlled shooting. There is something for everybody. I also believe that women in sport do not get as much exposure as they should do. When I was at school, a huge amount of the PE budget went into the boy’s cricket and not into girl’s field hockey. This happened even though 4 members of the girls first XI were in the Scotland squad, and the team was bringing home many more success stories than the cricket team. This is not something I wish to continue. By continuing my shooting career and being seen to be a successful female athlete I can do my part to push back the stigma and break boundaries for women in sport.
