PJ Mullen joined Rutgers Athletics in the summer of 2021 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Game Presentation. He is the primary marketing contact for Rutgers football and leads the in-game production on game days among other duties. Previously, Mullen served as Penn State’s Director of Marketing for nearly five years. He directed/emceed football game days at Beaver Stadium and oversaw marketing efforts and in-game production for the men’s basketball team. In addition, Mullen provided oversight of the department’s internship program, pre-game shows, live events and led several on-campus student groups. Mullen was also an adjunct professor with Penn State’s College of Communications for nine years during his time in Happy Valley.
