OU Hockey is a Club sport we are not funded by the university. We have several opportunities available to help the team with costs this year The University of Oklahoma hockey team is the oldest continuously operating college hockey program in Oklahoma. Founded in 2003, the team competed at the ACHA Division 2 level during its inaugural season before moving to Division 1 the following year. Today, the Sooners are a perennial top 15 team and compete in the WCHL, one of the ACHA's toughest conferences. Starting in the 2021-22 season, OU will compete in the newly-established WCHL East Division with Colorado, Colorado State, Missouri State, and in-state rival UCO.
