
With a resounding victory at the 2014 Sanderson Farms Championship, Nick Taylor has firmly positioned himself as golf’s next breakout Canadian star. Taylor is the first Canadian to win on the PGA TOUR since 2009, recording a victory in just his 4th start since earning his Tour card. As a result, Taylor is exempt on the PGA TOUR through the 2016/2017 season and will gain entry into the 2015 PLAYERS Championship and 2015 PGA Championship. This past season, Taylor had a strong campaign on the Web.com Tour recording three top-10 and five top-25 finishes, including shooting an astounding 63 on the final day of the Web.com Tour Championship to finish T21,and securing his PGA TOUR card in the process. Prior to turning professional, Taylor had one of the most remarkable amateur careers in Canadian golf history,winning the 2009 Mark. H. McCormack Medal as the number one ranked amateur in the world. In 2009, Taylor held the #1 position in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for 21 straight weeks. In addition,Taylor qualified for the 2009 U.S Open where he shot a second round 65, setting the record for lowest round by an amateur in Major history.At the University of Washington, Taylor finished 2nd at the NCAA Championship in 2008, and received the 2010 Ben Hogan award as the top ranked collegiate golfer in the U.S. Nick married his wife Andie in May of 2014 and they currently reside in Abbottsford, BC.
