It is with great pride that we announce our latest fan event: the 1st Annual Newark 24 Hour Soccer Festival which will take place on June 19-20th in the heart of downtown Newark, New Jersey. Newark is the largest city in the state of New Jersey and one of the oldest cities in America. It is the home to several major corporations such as Prudential, Panasonic, PSEG, the NHL's New Jersey Devils, an international airport and seaport, and also the headquarters of event host Fanteractive.com! The area which includes towns such as Kearny, Montclair, Harrison (home of the NY Red Bulls), etc., is also steeped in soccer tradition drawing on the strong ethnic ties of the city with immigrants from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Nigeria, Ghana, Colombia, Poland and over 150 other countries which also makes it one of the most "international" cities in the United States. The Newark 24 Hour Soccer Festival will celebrate the "beautiful game" on the "green" in Military Park - located in the heart of downtown Newark - for a continuous soccer action that will pit residents, employees, students, and friends against each other 24 consecutive hours in the center of town. Teams will rotate each hour while a cumulative score will be kept for the whole duration of the event and culminate in time for a “watch party” for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup match between the defending champion USA and rival Sweden on Thursday, June 20th. There will be numerous player appearances, clinics, giveaways, and other special events throughout the 24 hours as we look to celebrate the sport
