About Matt (MVK's door charging driver) : Matt attended his first drift event in 2011, only to discover an instant love for it. Matt purchased his stock Nissan 240sx drift car, attended drift clinics, and one year later felt he was ready to compete in the Evergreen Formula Drift Pro-Am series. Matt quickly rose to the top, winning the series, and was awarded his Formula Drift Pro-2 license. In one quick and challenging year, Matt once again proved his skills as the rookie competing against factory owned teams. Taking the Pro-2 Championship (3rd place) for the 2017 season. Throughout his Pro-2 season, Matt became known as a hard charging, door riding driver. Matt strongly believed and lived the team’s motto of “Work Hard, Stay Humble.” With this positive outlook during the Pro-2 season, it allowed him to earn his Formula Drift Pro License for 2018. Fasten your seat belt! MVK Racing has a very unique approach to fan engagement by integrating a virtual reality drifting simulator in our paddock. This allows us to represent our sponsors on not only our vehicle race gear, but also in a virtual gaming world. We campaigned the VR drifting simulator throughout the 2017 FD PRO-2 season with amazing success. The MVK car was identically rendered as well as the current event track at the time, to give fans an exhilarating & realistic experience of what it is like to sit behind the wheel of the MVK racing drift car.
