Elizabeth “Ellie” Sepulveda is an 18 year old competition climber, coach, student, and Puerto Rico’s first World Cup climbing competitor. Ellie coaches youth at her climbing gym, leads and organizes women-only climbing clinics, and is a founding member of Puerto Rico's climbing federation. She hopes to grow the community on the island and to represent Puerto Rico at the 2024 and 2028 Olympics. In 2019, Ellie became the youth Pan American Champion in bouldering, as well as earning a silver and bronze medal in the Olympic combined and speed climbing events. She has competed at numerous US national events and at two adult World Cups, where she finished 25th and 31st. Ellie will be representing Puerto Rico for the first time at four World Cups this year.
